Top waterfalls in Bali
What you really should not miss when visiting Bali is waterfalls. I have chosen three waterfalls which I like the best and am always happy to come back to.
Here are the tips for visiting waterfalls:
- The best time to see the waterfalls is after the rainy season, when you can see the waterfalls full beauty
- It is worth getting up early before if gets crowded of all the tourists
- Use shoes that will not slip on wet stones to avoid twisted ankle or other injuries
- Do not forget to take a repellent, near the waterfalls there is usually a lot of stinging insects
1. Tegenungan waterfall
This waterfall is one of the most accessible waterfalls, unfortunately also the most visited one. Above the waterfall there is a large parking lot and lots of refreshment stalls. The entrance was 10,000 IDR per 1 person when I visited this place last time. You will go down the stairs from the parking to the bottom of the valley and it will lead you right under the waterfall. It is worth taking your swimming suit as it is allowed to swim in the river below the waterfall. If you want to enjoy this waterfall in at least a little peace and without crowds, it is necessary to arrive at the parking lot with the morning dawn.

2. Munduk waterfall
One of the less visited waterfalls, located in the middle of the jungle and the road leads to it through the local farmers´plantations. Thanks to lower attendance, one can really enjoy moments of tranquility in the beautiful countryside. During my last visit here, I did not pay any entry.

3. Sekumpul waterfalls
For me the number one waterfall is probably the Sekumpul waterfalls, which are located in amazing nature and you get there on well-kept path. Behind the footbridge the road divides because of two waterfalls here. Just before the waterfalls you will encounter more difficult and often very slippery terrain where you need to be more careful. Under both waterfalls, you can enjoy a good shower of water spray that falls from a height of about 50 meters. Keep your gedgets in a waterproof package. It is worth taking extra clothes with you.
